DOH-Charlotte Hosts Fall Prevention and Senior Wellness Activities

Charlotte County, Fla. —The Florida Department of Health in CharlotteCounty (DOH-Charlotte) invites the community to attend A Matter of Balance program on Monday, September 15, 2025, and the Mind and Motion: Aging Strong event on Monday, September 22, 2025.
DOH-Charlotte, in partnership with Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida, will host A Matter of Balance, an award-winning program designed to help seniors learn practical strategies to manage falls and increase physical activity levels through eight weekly two-hour classes. The first of the series will be held from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the following location:

Mind and Motion: Aging Strong will be held from 9 – 11:30 a.m. at the following location:
At this free event, multiple organizations will highlight fall prevention strategies, boost Alzheimer’s awareness, promote resources for seniors, and encourage overall health and wellness.
No registration is required. People of all ages and caregivers are welcome to attend.
