The Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County’s (DOH-Charlotte) Health Care-Associated Infection Prevention Program (HAI) is a non-regulatory, grant-based, CDC program developed to assist health care facilities in Charlotte County, Florida, with the implementation and maintenance of infection prevention practices and policies.
The following services are offered at no cost to acute care and long-term care facilities in Charlotte County:
- Outbreak Response
- Infection Control Assessment and Response (ICAR)
- Point Prevalence Survey (PPS)
- Education (General Practices, Specific Practice, Specific Organisms)
- HAI Surveillance
- MDRO Prevention
