The Sexually Transmitted Infection Prevention and Control Program of the Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County (DOH-Charlotte) works to reduce the incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) by providing screening, testing, diagnosis, and treatment for infected individuals.

The program's intervention helps to protect infected individuals, their partners, and unborn children from the serious complications that may result from untreated STIs.

Four major program components comprise the STI Prevention and Control Program:

  • Surveillance
  • Field services including partner counseling
  • Referral services
  • Clinical services

Please call DOH-Charlotte from Monday to Friday to schedule an appointment. A sliding fee scale is used to determine fees, based on family size and income.
