Every resident should have the opportunity to make healthy choices. However, our choices are often limited or expanded based on where we live, where we work, and what resources we have access to. Understanding how social and economic factors impact our residents' opportunity for health is critical for making decisions that expand opportunity for every resident.

By building communities that make the healthiest choice the easiest choice, everyone wins. Prevention isn’t about being in a doctor’s office all the time, it’s about the opportunity to eat good food, be outside, and connect with neighbors and friends. Most importantly, preventing disease isn’t entirely about educating people to make the right choices. It’s about creating places where it’s possible.
