The Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (BCCEDP) makes it easy to get recommended breast and cervical cancer screenings.
Services provided include:
- Breast and cervical cancer screening exams (clinical breast exams, mammograms, and Pap tests) to approximately 5% of the at need population, as funding allows.
- Care coordination to all clients with abnormal exams.
- Women screened through the program and diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer are referred to Florida Medicaid for eligibility determination.
Diagnostic funds are reserved for women screened through the program.

Women can receive screenings for free or at low-cost if they meet the following program eligibility requirements:
- Are 40-64 years old
- Have little or no health insurance
- Meet income guidelines of the program
- Live in Florida
To apply, download, complete, and submit the form below:
- The Florida Department of Health provides access to free or low-cost breast cancer screenings to women who are uninsured or underinsured, have a low income, and meet the program eligibility requirements.
- Treatment may also be covered by Medicaid.
