The Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County (DOH-Charlotte) completes a Community Health Assessment (CHA) every five years. The CHA includes assessing the Community Health Status, the Community Strengths and Themes, the Forces of Change, and the Local Public Health System to determine the health of the community using primary and secondary data sources including input from the residents in Charlotte County. The results are used to determine priority areas for the county.
