DOH-Charlotte Hosts Annual Back to School Bash

Charlotte County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County (DOH-Charlotte) invites Charlotte County families to attend the annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. – noon at:

Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County
1100 Loveland Blvd.,
Port Charlotte, FL 33980

The following services for children will be provided free of charge on a first come, first serve basis as supplies last thanks to partnerships between DOH-Charlotte and community organizations:

  • Hearing and vision screenings
  • Haircuts
  • Bike helmet sizing and bike safety tips
  • DOH-Charlotte’s clinic team will be on site assisting families with back-to-school needs

Families will also have the opportunity to connect with community organizations focused on:

  • Physical and mental health
  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • Supporting parents
  • Substance use risk and prevention
  • After-school programs
  • Libraries
  • Public transportation
  • Assisting students with disabilities
