The Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County (DOH-Charlotte) provides quality and individualized health care services to the community at an affordable rate. These services are provided by highly qualified and experienced family practice doctors, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nurses, nutritionists, and case managers.
DOH-Charlotte provides most clinical services on a sliding fee scale and are based on income and family size. Sliding fee scale is assessed at the initial visit and updated annually.
DOH-Charlotte accepts the majority of Medicaid plans and some insurance plans, but for those who are uninsured or prefer to pay out-of-pocket, DOH-Charlotte accepts cash, check, Visa and Mastercard.
